Rangers launches a rights issue

The Premier League club has announced to OFEX that it launched a rights issue, offering just over 57.27m new shares at 100p-per-share, in a bid to raise a minimum of £50m. In its notice, the club’s board is pointing the downturn of the industry in general to the reduced media spending, dropping revenues from around £10m to less than £2m annually.
