Fortuna Sittard is facing financial crises

The Eerstedivisie club is in a deep financial crisis and are not able to pay the players wages. The club is currently financed by the four-man board, which are paying out of their own pockets. Sugar daddies, Sjra Philippen, Jo Abelshausen and Jos Nuyen have not only helped balance the budget, but also paid back €150,000 to club’s former sponsor Emly, as ordered by the Dutch court. The board members have now warned that they will not be able to continue injecting anymore cash.
