Kahn and Ballack top Bundesliga earners list

Bayern Munich goalkeeper and captain Oliver Kahn is the best paid player in the Bundesliga, earning €10.5m a-year, with around half coming from advertising work for companies such as Adidas-Salomon AG, KarstadtQuelle AG and Burger King. German Michael Ballack, who is also Kahn’s team-mate at 1.Bundesliga club Bayern Munich, reportedly earns €10m. Bayern Munich's Sebastian Deisler and Bayer Leverkeusen's Jens Nowotny came in joint third in the list with €3.5m apiece. Brazilian striker Ailton, recently signed by Schalke 04 from champions Werder Bremen and the league's top scorer last season with 28 goals, takes home €3.4m a year. New Bayern coach Felix Magath earns €3m while manager Uli Hoeness pockets €2m, slightly less than the salary paid to Schalke 04 counterpart Rudi Aussauer.
