Ligue 1 clubs budget list

Olympic Lyonese, the French champion is armed with the largest budget in the country’s top-flight – € 100m, 25% more than any other club, and 8 times more than the other end, newly-promoted club Istres (€ 12m). Paris SG, which had cut € 29m in its last season budget, massively invests this year and is armed with € 80m budget, following the club’s main shareholder, Canal Plus, cash injection of €50 m and the sale of Brazilian forward Ronaldinho to Spanish Primera Liga club Barcelona last summer for € 30m. Olympic Marseilles, the third in the list with € 75m, has increased the planed budget of € 50m due to Didier Drogba € 37.5m transfer to English Premier Chelsea. Monaco, which is not subjected to the same loads as its competitors, posts a budget less impressive but difficult to apprehend of € 60m.
