Everton director expressed concerns

The Premier club director, Paul Gregg, who is locked in battle for control of the club with Chairman Bill Kenwright, both hold together the majority of True Blue Holdings shares, has expressed concerns over the lack of investment going into the club. “Wealthy people would only want to invest if they could present their own views on how the club should be run” said Gregg and offered to put together a fans' share issue to buy shares for £1,000. “If there are 15,000 fans around the world willing to invest then we could bring in another £15m. To live up to everybody's expectations we have got to change and I believe we will get support for the changes” he told media. The club’s Shareholders Association (ESA) has issued a heavy criticism directed to True Blue. “The club is in a far worse state than when they took over and the situation of the ongoing dispute between Kenwright and director Gregg is now intolerable” said Steve Allison the ESA chairman “we've watched with growing alarm the mounting debt and lack of investment under True Blue, and now we are expected to sit here and watch them pull themselves apart” he added. According to a cash flow projection report made by the club’s former chief executive Trevor Birch, the club needs to find £5m by next month to stay in business.
