Scottish Gretna has been temporarily saved from extinction with a cash injection, and will play the Saturday, March 22 match against Aberdeen.
The Scottish Premier League infused GBP 100,000 cash into the club. Gretna has been unable to meet its financial obligations following the brain ailment suffered by owner Brooks Mileson.
Mileson withdrew all his financial support after the affliction.
The cash will help Gretna meet its next five matches, including travel. Gretna will feature some 19-and-under players, as some experienced footballers are holding off until all wage bills are settled.
Consortiums have expressed an interest in helping the club, and taking over. Roddy Collins has confirmed in some reports that he will be meeting with administrators to see about a takeover deal.
