Racing Santander saves on players wages

The Primera Liga club reported EU 265,000 profit for last season accounts. According to President Manuel Huerta, the club had to present a EU5m reduction from last season budget of EU28.8m, which will be on the account of players’ wages. The club will now have only 19 professional players contracted, while the rest of the cadre is comprised from youth players.
The club is also looking for a new shirt sponsor and hopes that the number of season ticket holders will rise from the current 13,088.
