The Premier Liga club has paid off its US$300m debts, according to club president A. Albegov. “As of today we have fully cancelled our debts of US$300 million. We are working on bringing the club back to normal,” Albegov commented to media.
Earlier this season the club was given a license to play in the league after the Russian Football Union (RFU) had revoked it due to club’s outstanding debts to players. Alainia, Russian champions in 1995, was backed by the Republic of North Ossetia’s finance minister Konstantin Urtayev. Urtayev promised to issue a letter of guarantee of the payment of US$300,000.
