Sporting Gijon paid off debts

The Segunda Liga club n has avoided automatic relegation after paying last season’s debts to players and staff. The club was in danger of going into administration because of debts of €31,259 but that prospect seems to have been averted for the immediate future, despite the fact there are still creditors to pay, as well as some of this season’s wages.
