Tottenham Hutspure demands £15m for Arnesen

The Premier League club is set to raise its compensation claim from fellow club Chelsea to a staggering £15m over the Frank Arnesen affair. The club is focusing on the contribution they feel their sporting director would have made in terms of players acquired over the remaining two years of his contract. Chelsea, were allegedly offering around £2m compensations however, Tottenham is keen for more significant compensation.

Football League club Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan told Tottenham to stand up to Chelsea and make an official complaint to the Premier League. Jordan claimed the Chelsea should be facing points deduction if they are guilty of tapping up Arnesen. Jordan told media: "I think Chelsea's conduct, if proven, is not the best. There are rules and they have to abide by them. I understand they are in a position where they feel they can do what they want, but it is up to the authorities to bring them to book. You can't hit them in the pocket that is not going to hurt them. You hit them somewhere else and it has to be points I suspect. If I was Spurs I would make a complaint. I would stand up and say that is not right. I have done it with agents and to some extent it might have cost me players."
