Russian oil company Sibneft, has pledged further cooperation to the UEFA Cup winners. Last year Sibneft splashed out US$54 million on the club for a three-year sponsorship deal and the company has promised that more funds are on the way. “Sibneft will continue to work closely with CSKA FC to do everything possible for the club to win more matches,” Sibneft’s president Eugene Shvidler said. CSKA became the first ever Russian club to win a major European title by beating Sporting Lisbon 3-1 in UEFA Cup final last Wednesday. “We at Sibneft are proud to share the joy over the unprecedented victory of CSKA Moscow in UEFA Cup” Shvidler added.
