The Royal League had a dip in revenues this season, with a lack of income flow from sponsors and television revenue.
The two-year old affiliation of Swedish, Danish and Norwegian clubs will see less revenue, said general secretary of the Swedish FA, Sune Hellstrommer. That will result in less money for the clubs.
"The prize money will be less this season," he told Swedish news agency TT. "We have relocated some of the money in an attempt to attract more people to the games but there has also been less income as far as television and sponsors are concerned."
According to the Danish news agency Ritzau, this season's winners will get EUR 670,000. Last season, winners FC Copenhagen took home EUR 940,000.
