Scottish Gretna could be saved by a consortium interested in helping the club out of its financial mess.
Football agent Paul Davies has cobbled together a group to potentially help the club. Gretna is in administration after a brain illness to owner Brooks Mileson has cut off funding to the club.
The club needs to raise GBP 30,000 or it will face closure. It is having trouble meeting expenses for its trip to Aberdeen.
Davies isn't 100 percent certain his consortium can help. His group has not yet looked at Gretna's figures and books to see if they can save the club from a quick end.
Davies felt his group would cut costs regardless, as the club is facing relegation, even without the financial burden.
