Preston North End reports loss

The Championship club PLC has reported increased losses over the past year. In the six months to Dec 2004, the loss grew over 50% to Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£1.2 million from Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£762,000, while turnover fell 11% to Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£3.4m from Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â£3.8m. Despite the losses, the club said it has ensured it continued to maintain a healthy balance sheet. The board also remains supportive of the management team's request for new player signings.
