Barcelona reports interim profit

The Primera Liga club finance director, Ferran Soriano, revealed that the club has finished 2004 with a profit of €5.1m and predicted a profit of €13m for the 2004/05 season. The forecasted profit does not include revenue expected to be generated from the sale of club land in Can Rigalt de L'Hospitalet. Expenses reported €95.7m, with €49m spent on salaries, and the club still has historical debts, which currently stand at €227m.
