Southampton reports interim loss

The Premier League club has reported an interim pre-tax loss of £1.3m for the six months ended 30 November 2004. Turnover reported £18.92m, a slight increase from last year’s corresponding period £18.65m. Operating expenses has seen slight increase from £19.21m to £20.1m. Chairman Rupert Lowe reported on the club’s fruition projects, the conversion of the Itchen Suite concourse to a hospitality venue, and the permission to use the stadium for up to two concerts per year.
