Spanish Malaga is on the verge of announcing more than EUR 11 million in losses for the past year.
The estimate is that the club took a EUR 11.2 million loss this past season, which is twice as much as last year.
Part of the problem is that the club has top-tier salaries on the books after getting relegated to the Segunda.
"We have had to face up to another reality, with a club in the Segunda Division and a squad from the Primera with salaries from the Primera and this has generated a huge financial cost," Malaga administrator Daniel Pastor said to Soccer Investor.
