One of the most successful sports marketing organisations in the world will be addressing senior executives at Leaders in Football, to be held at Chelsea FC on 7th and 8th October 2008.
After many years gathering, documenting and implementing best practice within the NBA League, the central marketing team have developed a wealth of knowledge on how best to market a sports franchise.
Scott O’Neill, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at the NBA, will be flying in to deliver a keynote presentation to 1,000 senior leaders running professional football worldwide. Scott currently overseas the team marketing and business operations and has been instrumental in the NBA achieving all time record attendance levels. He was also a key contributor in the creation of the Best Practice Guide, a resource used by all NBA and WNBA teams to assist in their sales and marketing effort.
Scott will be joined by Tom Glick former Chief Marketing Officer of the New Jersey Nets and currently CEO of Derby County FC. Tom is another expert when it comes to selling out a stadium and will combine a wealth of experience from US sport together with a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing professional football.
Delegates attending the event will learn key insights into the success of the NBA model and understand key marketing techniques to apply within the football world.
