The Newcastle Manager Sam Allardyce is to join a panel of some of the games leading coaches, including Sir Alex Ferguson discussing how to maximise playing talent.

During his tenure with Bolton Wanderers, Allardyce became a champion of the latest techniques in coaching, player conditioning, psychology and match analyse. Never afraid to seek out new ideas from across the globe, many Premiership managers have looked on with interest to the techniques employed by Allardyce.

Now busy revolutionising the practices of Newcastle United, Allardyce will share his views with many of the games most influential figures. He will be joined on the panel by among others Sir Alex Ferguson and Howard Wilkinson. The General Manager of the Oakland Athletics, Billy Beane will also offer a different perspective, exploring how Football may be able to benefit from some of the techniques used in America.

“Football has undergone something of a technological revolution in recent years” commented Allardyce “I have been able to work hard with companies such as Prozone to help ensure that our players are best prepared when they take to the field. There are plenty of new ideas on how to maximise a players talents and I am looking forward to discussing these at the ‘Future of Football’ Conference”

Issues off the field will take centre stage in the morning with Keith Harris, the Chairman of Investment Broker Seymour Pierce, delivering a keynote speech. He will also be joined by the Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner on a panel discussing issues relating to club ownership.

The conference will take place at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London on the Tuesday 20 November.
