Plans for formation of the North European Football League
Scotland - 15 June, 2004
Scottish Premier League chairman Lax Gold approved media that plan for formation of a North European football League is already in motion. Gold has informed that the league will include the top three or four clubs of the north European countries. Scotland, Nederland, Belgium, Denmark and Norway are already considering joining the league. Although a similar plan which was established four years ago (“Atlantic League”) was never realized, Gold is far more convinced regarding the current proposal. The Scottish Premier League will submit a plan to UEFA to try and gain approval.
