David Moyes, manager of English Everton football club, has expressed his support for the proposals calling for a two-tier Premier League that would include Scottish football clubs Celtic and Rangers, according to BBC.

Phil Gartside, Bolton’s chairman, suggested the idea, and the Premier League clubs will meet next week to discuss the possibility. The arrangement would create two divisions with 18 clubs in each. He believes that it would make the league more competitive.

Moyes stated that it would be appreciated by the media, and that because of the support English fans have for the Scottish clubs, it would boost England’s revenue.

Many of the top clubs in the league would prefer not to slit into two divisions.
