Welsh clubs now have a chance to represent England in European club competitions.
The English Football Association announced Welsh Cardiff City will be entitled to a UEFA Cup spot if it beats English Portsmouth in the FA Cup final. Previously, Welsh clubs were not allowed to play on behalf of England.
The executive board approved the plan for possible Welsh representation and will have the Welsh national anthem played before the cup final.
Even had the FA ruled against Cardiff City, UEFA was considering offering a spot to the Welsh club.
