Recently elected UEFA President Michel Platini already has stirred a little unrest among broadcasters with a switch in trophy presentations.
Platini wants to change from on-pitch ceremonies to the old fashioned method of handing over the trophy in the stands.
For broadcasters, that means less footage of players raising the hardware on a on-pitch dais with the celebration going on around them.
But Platini likely has been influenced by his time as a player. He received the European Cup and the European Championship trophy from dignitaries seated in the directors' box. He will reinstate the system by handing over the trophies as UEFA president.
To make Platini's vision happen, Athens' Olympic Stadium, venue for this season's Champions League final, might require significant work to convert the stands.
