The organizer of the pre-season series matches which saw this summer English Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool compete, as well as Italian Serie A clubs AC Milan, Juventus and Roma, and Scottish Premier League club Celtic take part, has filed for bankruptcy due to significant losses made from last summer’s event, which cost the company over US$30m.
