Michel Platini, UEFA President, along with delegates, visit the host countries Poland and Ukraine to evaluate the construction progress for UEFA EURO 2012.

Poland and Ukraine, who were awarded the competition in April last year, have admitted that preparations had fallen behind because of political instability in both countries.

There has been an affirmative analysis of the preparations in Poland so far.

On Wednesday, Platini met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Lech Kaczyn'ski, along with members of the Polish Football Association.

After the meetings, Platini commented, "All activities in Poland seem to be on track. We have received assurances from the Polish government that the crucial National Stadium in Warsaw will be completed in due time, together with the necessary transport infrastructure. I feel reassured after this visit to the Polish side of the UEFA EURO 2012 project."

Platini also said that their visit to inspect the progress of Ukraine's preparations for co-hosting Euro 2012 was 'useful'.

Ukraine have been given until September by Platini to prove they are capable of co-hosting Europe's showpiece football event.

The final decision on the hosting of UEFA EURO 2012 will be made this September.
