UEFA general secretary David Taylor said he feels that changes to the UEFA Cup format will make the competition even more exciting.
The changes will feature a full group stage of home and away matches, as well as a centralised marketing programme, all in a similar format to that of the UEFA Champions League.
"We aim to establish more clearly the position of the UEFA Cup in the football landscape as a true 'European adventure' for all those clubs and the fans of those clubs involved," Taylor told UEFA.com .
