Former president of Primera Liga club, Francisco Roig, had decided to put an end to the in-house dispute and sold the majority of his holdings to the Soler family, in a reported € 31m value deal. Roig’s decision to walk away after many years of activity was mainly because of the resignation of the successful club coach Benitez. The coach stepped down his post saying events in the club, has undermined his personal moral and willingness to continue in his work. Bautista Soler, who now took over as the leading share holder, has appointed his son as the club’s vice president, alongside present president Orti. However, the club sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch, who considered to be one of the pivotal reasons for Benitez departure, has left the club.
