Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse denied negotiations with Glazer

The two investment banks have denied negotiations with US based businessman Malcolm Glazer regarding a funding for a possible takeover of English Premier League club Manchester United.

Glazer, who used his 28.1% shareholding to oust three of the club’s directors’, lost his Investment bank JP Morgan who decided to drop him as a client. JP Morgan had seemingly doomed any prospect of a takeover, but Glazer is now trying to cooperate with new backers according to media reports. Chief executive David Gill is considering offering Glazer a place on the plc board, if he agrees to shelve the plans to launch a takeover bid
