Carson Yeung’s takeover of Birmingham City Football club has now taken full effect, as the club’s shares are officially delisted from the stock exchange, BBC reports.

The club now has the status of a private business.

Yeung, billionare businessman from Hong Kong, promised manager Alex Mcleish that he would support the Birmingham’s Premier League status with GBP 40 million. McLeish expressed that the squad needs improvement, and Yeung has stated that he is willing to provide up to GBP 5 million of his own funds to support transfer activity.

Yeung, along with Vico Hui and Michael Wiseman have been confirmed as the only directors of the club, and Sammy Yu was named vice president.
