Barton wants price cut on Bari

Tim Barton, a US based businessman, is interested in taking over Italian AS Bari and he is hoping to get the club for a reduced price.

Goal.com has explained that media has indicated Barton’s intention to communicate with the Matarrese family. Associazione Sportiva Bari owners, about bring
down the asking price. The requested reduction has been reported at GBP 2 million, which would bring the cost down to GBP 20 million.

Barton is meeting with Vincenzo Matarrese and is expected to discuss the discount today, as indicated by some rumours.

There has been no official statement from Barton himself regarding the request, however Italian media suggests that the takeover is to be finalized shortly.
