The Championship club is in advanced talks with an unnamed group of Monaco-based French and Italian businessman regarding a prospective £ 1.8m investment. Since coming out of administration two years ago club officials have been actively seeking investment, and warned last season that the club could go out of business unless new funds were found. The financial situation was eased in April when Italian player agent Gianni Paladini acquired a 22% holding through his Leeds-based company Moorbound Ltd. Paladini introduced the unnamed consortium to the club, and that the potential investors will buy new shares issued by the club for £ 1.8m, which will land the group a 29.9% stake.
