A United Kingdom investment company has bought a majority share in English Southampton for GBP 40 million.
Sisu Capital now is the first hedge fund to own a British football club, holding 55 percent of the club. The business also had tried to previously buy into Derby County.
Southampton's market value is estimated at GBP 14 million with stadium debts of more than GBP 28 million.
Roy Ranson, the former professional footballer who failed to buy Manchester City this year, is helping Sisu construct the deal.
