Marcus Evans received major support from English Ipswich shareholders in his bid to take over the club.
Evans now has an 87.5 percent stake in the club. He immediately added new faces to the club's board of directors. More than 98 percent of the shareholders supported Evans' bid.
He will assume Ipswich's GBP 32 million debt.
"We believe Marcus Evans' investment provides the best opportunity for this football club to move forward, return to the Premier League and stay there," said club chairman David Sheepshanks, who will remain with Ipswich.
