Monaco's sponsor buys into Rostov

Russian businessman Alexei Fedorychev, who sponsors French Ligue 1 club Monaco and is the owner of Russian Premier Liga team Dinamo Moscow, has purchased a stake in Russian Premier League side Rostov. Fedcominvest firm, has secured the major shareholder status in Rostov. It is, however, unclear, whether Agrofest bought the shares or acquired them for free. Rostov are languishing at the bottom of the First Division with 12 points from19 games, six points from safety. Fedorychev caused a stir in the European transfer market this season, buying several high-profiled players for Dinamo including former Porto stars Costinha, Derlei and Maniche.
