Two directors have resigned from English Manchester United, dropping the number to one of the amount of the club's directors who are not in the Glazer family.
Finance director Nick Humby and commercial director Andy Anson stepped down. Along with chief executive David Gill, they were the only non-Glazers involved in the running of the club.
Humby and Anson will leave in February. Gill said he was "very disappointed" at their departure, but felt the two had done much for the club.
Humby joined Manchester United in 2002, and was responsible for getting the stadium expansion completed on time. Anson arrived in 2004, and helped negotiate a record GBP 56.5 million shirt sponsorship deal with AIG.
Their departure has sparked the fans' group Manchester United Supporters Trust (MUST), a group that vehemently opposed the Glazer takeover. The group are hoping that Humby and Anson will let supporters know what is going on inside the club.
"Now is the time for them to come clean, do the honourable thing and let the supporters know what is going on behind the scenes at our football club," MUST spokesman Sean Bones said. "At the time of the takeover, Joel Glazer said he would speak to the supporters. They have not done so, which is a shame because we have a lot of questions for them to answer."
