Hong Kong's Carson Yeung feels he can take over English Birmingham City and make it an international club.
Yeung has acquired 29.9 percent of the club, putting him on the cusp of the required 30-percent takeover margin. He has been in the process of buying out David Sullivan and the Gold Brothers as part of a GBP 50 million takeover.
"I came here last year to see Birmingham play Luton, and it was destiny," Yeung said. "The Premiership is the best league in the world and most countries focus on it, especially in China and Hong Kong."
Yeung also downplayed concerns that he was buying into the club just to promote it and make money off it with branding in Asia.
"I want us to grow together and make the side successful, as I believe we can stay up as long as we play like a team," Yeung said.
