Premier League club Manchester United’s chief executive David Gill has admitted offering to make a financial donation to Shareholders United, to oppose Malcolm Glazer's takeover. Shareholders United has accused Gill of hypocrisy after subsequently agreeing to work for Glazer. A club statement has confirmed that Gill offered to make a contribution to the organization for assistance in offloading some share options. Gill also recently informed Shareholders United they would no longer be allowed representation on United's Fans' Forum because the body of supporters they spoke for - the shareholders - no longer existed.
