The McMullen Group has paid GBP 300,000 for a 50-percent stake in Scottish Livingston.
The group, headed by Irish property developer Anthony McMullen, acquired the shares from current owner Pearce Flynn. The group had expressed interest in Gretna after that club's plight.
Flynn had been interested in selling, but the last interested party was an Italian consortium. Instead he sold to McMullen and businessman Ged Nixon.
"My personal mantra is that you don't just buy a club, you build a club," McMullen said. "I'm coming on board because I want to build Livingston into one of the top clubs in the SPL. To achieve this we need to ensure that the correct foundations are in place, and we shall be doing this both on and off the field."
