Renault's Formula One chief looks at Queens Park Rangers
England - 14 August, 2007
English Queens Park Rangers could have a new owner as Flavio Briatore, Renault's formula one managing director, is on the verge of taking control.
Briatore has been most impressed by QPR's large fan base. If the club could make it into the upper tier from the Championship, then his invest definitely would pay dividends.
Part of the issue with QPR is a GBP 10 million loan that was taken out five years ago with a Panamanian company known as ABC Corporation. The interest rate is astoundingly high.
QPR has approximately GBP 21 million in debt, with GBP 7 million owed to Revenue & Customs.
