Glazer is to launch a new offer for Manchester United

Malcolm Glazer is to revise his takeover proposal for the Premier League club. Glazer hopes the new proposal will be enough to win over the club’s board, which has rejected their two earlier bids. Glazer could raise prices but said it would likely be on the top-priced tickets, such as those sold to corporations. He is also willing to allow the club's fans to retain up to a 25%. To have any chance of succeeding Glazer needs to get the board to recommend the bid to shareholders. They include Irish race horse magnates JP McManus and John Magnier who between them own nearly 30% of the company. Glazer's last bid attempt fell apart after he failed to win the support of the Irish shareholders.
