Court orders Ukraine Dinamo Kiev share freeze following lawsuit

A court in Kiev has ordered a freeze on 98.71% of shares belonging to Ukrainian Premier League club, ruling in favor of a lawsuit brought by Pacific International Sport Clubs Ltd. The company now plans to apply to the court to gain priority rights on buying the shares. The recently elected Ukrainian authorities have made it clear they are intent on replacing the current ownership and have also pledged to review the privatization of some 3,000 companies in the former Soviet state. Ukrainian deputy prime minister Mykola Tomenko said earlier this week that the government is to compile a list of companies that were undervalued in the process of privatization and believes the Dinamo, traditionally the most successful side in the country, could be in line for a return to state
