Just before a creditors meeting was about to divvy up English Bournemouth, two new suitors arrived to express interest.
Chairman Jeff Mostyn said the club, which is in administration, could even have a third bid possible. Both new bidders must provide a GBP 100,000 deposit, something to keep the club afloat for the rest of the season. The unsuccessful bidder gets the deposit returned.
With solid bids, the administrator, Gerald Krasner, can opt for one and not have a player sell-off. Krasner originally was going to sell to a group led by Mostyn, but that consortium fell apart.
That group's CVA was not well liked by HM Revenue & Customs, and was promptly vetoed.
The club has been in administration since February. Krasner hopes to name a winner by 9 April.
