Czech consortium buys Nantes

French Nantes now is in the hands of a Czech Republic consortium after being sold.
The cost was estimated to be between EUR 5 million and 10 million, according to France Football magazine. AFP press agency reported the value of the club has plummeted to roughly EUR 8 million to 10 million.
The Ligue 1 club is in danger of the first relegation in its history.
The new owners are expected to reduce the club's budget from EUR 45 million to about EUR 25 million through the release and retirement of players. They hope that will keep it competitive in Ligue 2.
