McDonald sets sights on Sheffield United

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
Former English Sheffield United chairman Mike McDonald is fronting a consortium aiming to take over Leeds United.

McDonald already is talking with former Newcastle United manager Graeme Souness about leading the team on the pitch, and removing Dennis Wise as manager. McDonald also is pitching his proposition to Souness as a business one, trying to get the former manager to invest.

Souness recently was in the mix to buy Wolverhampton Wanderers.
