FIFA competitions director, Jim Brown, head of media operations, Alain Leiblang, head of FIFA's South African 2010 World Cup office, Michael Palmer, along with t he country's football body's co-ordinator, Horst Schmidt, are in South Africa for a five-day site inspection tour before the 2010 World Cup, according to The Star.
The group had a large police contingent for protection and the arrangements for the tour were kept secret although it was known they would inspect Safa House and FNB stadium on Monday night and Ellis Park and Loftus Versfeld stadium on Tuesday.
There was also a scheduled visit to Rustenburg's Royal Bafokeng stadium and Free State stadium.
The delegation is expected to visit Durban, where the World Cup preliminary draw will be held in November.
