Isaac Sasso Sasso of Costa Rica resigned from the FIFA executive committee, two days before his 81 st birthday.
CONCACAF announced that Rafael Sandoval of Guatemala would replace Sasso, who held the position for 17 years and resigned due to bad health.
"Through his many years of tireless service to the game, Sasso has made an enormous contribution to the sport he loves at every level, from his one club in Costa Rica all the way up to his years of service on the FIFA executive committee," CONCACAF president Jack Warner said.
Sandoval will serve on the committee for the remainder of Sasso's term, which will expire in May.
Warner, who is a FIFA vice president, and Chuck Blazer, CONCACAF general secretary, are both members of CONCACAF serving on the 24-man FIFA executive committee.
