FIFA looks at shutting down coaching switches

Adjust font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
Sepp Blatter wants coaches to stay just where they are during the transfer window.

The FIFA president wants to stop coaching changes during the transfer process, and have no mid-season switching. Recently, Ronald Koeman moved from Dutch PSV Eindhoven to Spanish Valencia, and Juande Ramos from Spanish Sevilla to English Tottenham Hotspur.

Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido is considering legal moves after Ramos' jump.

"We'll try to extend the rule that is valid for players to coaches," Blatter said.
